STANDARD WARRANTY POLICY

  1. Warranty Period
  The standard warranty period is twelve (12) months, commencing from the date of our Invoice or Delivery Order, whichever is applicable.   Any different warranty period or specific warranty arrangement expressly stated in our quotation, sales contract or other written agreement shall take precedence over this Standard Warranty Policy.
 
  1. Warranty Coverage
  During the applicable warranty period, Multron warrants that the products supplied will be free from defects in materials and workmanship when:   used for their intended purpose; properly installed and commissioned; operated under normal operating conditions; and properly maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s or Multron’s recommendations.   Where a product is verified by Multron to have a defect in materials or workmanship covered under this warranty, Multron will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product or component.
 
  1. Warranty Claim Procedure
  Any product or component suspected to be defective must be returned to Multron for inspection and verification before any repair or replacement will be carried out.   Customers should provide, where applicable:   Multron Invoice or Delivery Order number; Product model and serial number; Description of the reported defect; Date of installation and/or commissioning; Photographs or other supporting information; and Relevant operating or testing information.   Multron reserves the right to conduct inspection and testing to determine the cause of the reported failure.
   
  1. Determination of Warranty Claims
Multron will determine, based on its inspection and/or testing, whether the reported defect is attributable to a defect in materials or workmanship covered under this warranty.   Where the claim is confirmed to be covered by this warranty, Multron will provide the applicable repair or replacement remedy.   Where the reported defect is found not to be covered by this warranty, the customer may be responsible for applicable inspection, testing, transportation, repair, replacement and other associated costs.
 
  1. Warranty Exclusions
  This warranty does not cover defects, damage or failure resulting from or attributable to:  
  1. Improper installation, commissioning, operation or maintenance;
  2.  
  3. Failure to follow the manufacturer’s or Multron’s operating, installation or maintenance instructions;
  4.  
  5. Misuse, abuse, negligence, mishandling or accidental damage;
  6.  
  7. Unauthorised modification, alteration, repair, dismantling or adjustment;
  8.  
  9. Use of unauthorised or incompatible spare parts, accessories, batteries, consumables or components;
  10.  
  11. Normal wear and tear or deterioration arising from normal use;
  12.  
  13. Consumable items or components intended to be periodically replaced;
  14.  
  15. Electrical power surges, incorrect voltage, lightning or other electrical disturbances;
  16.  
  17. Fire, flood, water ingress, corrosion, chemical exposure, contamination, excessive dust or other adverse environmental conditions;
  18.  
  19. Operation outside the product’s specified operating conditions or environmental limitations;
  20.  
  21. Damage caused by third-party equipment, systems, wiring, power supplies or components not supplied by Multron;
  22.  
  23. Relocation, reinstallation or alteration of the product after delivery without Multron’s prior approval; or
  24.  
  25. Any other circumstances or causes beyond Multron’s reasonable control.

 
  1. Installation and Site Works
  Unless expressly included in Multron’s quotation or contract, this warranty applies to the products supplied by Multron only.   Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the warranty does not cover costs associated with:   dismantling or removal of equipment; transportation to and from the site; reinstallation; site attendance; access equipment, scaffolding or lifting equipment; testing and commissioning; system shutdown or interruption; reinstatement works; or other consequential site works.   Where installation and commissioning are carried out by Multron, any warranty applicable to such works shall be subject to the terms expressly stated in the relevant quotation or contract.
     
  1. Products Manufactured by Third Parties
  For products manufactured by third-party manufacturers and supplied by Multron, the warranty may be subject to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions.   Multron will, where appropriate, assist the customer in submitting a warranty claim to the relevant manufacturer or supplier. The applicable remedy and warranty period shall be subject to the manufacturer’s warranty obligations.
 
  1. Replacement and Repaired Products
  Any replacement product or component supplied under this warranty shall be covered for the remaining balance of the original warranty period.   Replacement or repair of a product shall not automatically restart or extend the original twelve (12) months warranty period unless otherwise agreed by Multron in writing.
 
  1. Transportation and Related Costs
  Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer shall be responsible for the transportation and any removal or reinstallation costs associated with returning products for warranty inspection.   Where a warranty claim is confirmed as valid, Multron will bear the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing the defective product or component, subject to the terms of this warranty.
 
  1. Warranty Remedy
  Multron’s standard warranty remedy shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product or component, at Multron’s discretion.   Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing, a warranty claim does not entitle the customer to a refund or reduction in the purchase price.
 
  1. Limitation of Liability
  To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Multron’s liability arising from or relating to a valid warranty claim shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product or component.   Multron shall not, to the extent permitted by applicable law, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of production, loss of use or business interruption arising from or in connection with a defective product.   Nothing in this warranty shall exclude or limit any liability or rights which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
 
  1. Warranty Claim Notification
  Customers should notify Multron of any suspected defect as soon as reasonably practicable after the defect is discovered and, in any event, before the expiry of the applicable warranty period.   Multron may require the customer to provide reasonable information and access to the affected product for the purpose of investigating the warranty claim.
 
  1. General
  This Standard Warranty Policy applies to products supplied by Multron unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.   Multron reserves the right to update or amend this Standard Warranty Policy from time to time. Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, products supplied by Multron are covered by our standard twelve (12) months warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the terms and conditions set out below.
